In Texas as in many other states school districts are granted immunity from liability for injuries to students and particularly student athletes involved in both training as well as athletic events. As a result student athletes injured in sports related events are barred from seeking traditional personal injury damages from either the school district or individual coach or trainer who would be liable under traditional personal injury laws. Consequently student athletes and their families are left without any legal recourse against either the entities or individuals responsible for the injuries, medical expenses and long term effects of sports related injuries.

While these entities and individuals may be immune from liability under state law I have been exploring causes of action for constitutional and statutory violations.

I am interested in speaking with student athletes and their families to participate in the prosecution of these cases.
